Piercing
my Heart and Silence
by April Ordoñez
Bitter
as verjuice,
It's me against the world,
My disposition, only mission,
Peacefulness that will unfurl;
Accomplished
everything
and gained nothing,
Subtle glances
as she dances
And I know there was defeat
Kleptomaniac
of my fragile heart.
Then she
twirls with her curls,
Scent of jasmine, rose, fresh soap;
My mind wanders
As she shivers
God, I want to hold her close;
I've become some kind of misanthrope,
I cannot be discreet,
Inside ploys,
Silence is the thunderous noise.
